Presenter: Timm O’Regan Ceramic Artist. The workshop will focus on hand building techniques.

There are only 12 positions available so be quick to respond.

Cost: $35 for Financial Members, $50 for non Members

Saturday 12th May, 10am to 1pm Figure/Portraiture Drawing from a Live Sitter, with Bob Gurney

Explore working with a clothed model to create a completed drawing or to develop for a later artwork. Participants will learn about proportion, tone, measuring, and general hints on composition, etc. will be demonstrated. The use of lighting will be used to enhance tonal qualities and create a finished drawing. WAG-Members - $10, non-members - $15.

Splashing about using Watercolours with Janet - Saturday 8th October 2011, 1.00pm to 4.00pm Discovering different ways with watercolour techniques. Bring Watercolour paper and paints, tubes are preferred, A 2inch/38mm hake brush (or flat bristle brush) is needed for washes plus a mop brush and smaller brushes. In our first workshop with Mo you will learn about the history of encaustic, studio safety and how to prepare your own encaustic medium and paints. Tutor Mo Godbeer will go through board preparation, fusing, and layering to achieve amazing effects with beeswax and resin. You can expect to take home 4 completed pieces.
