11th September 2010 Painting 'SUNDOWN SILHOUETTE' with Julie Hodges

Painting exercise  -'SUNDOWN  SILHOUETTE'  in ACRYLIC paints.
If you love to draw, or paint then let's  draw with paint! Paint along with Julie, a colourful easy Sunset , with silhouetted trees.
 
Oils could be used also, but for these dramatic colours watercolour paints  may not be strong enough.
 
Please  bring a-long Acrylic paint , colours Red, Dark Blue, Yellow, White, Black
Large Painting pad OR stretched canvas or canvas board, if you want a finished painting  
Brushes x 1 each , Large, Mediu...

Enjoy an afternoon of experimenting with ink as a drawing medium using different implements e.g. nib (dip) pen, brushes, sticks, feathers etc.   Learn techniques where you can free-up your drawing by using a variety of interesting lines and textures.   

Ink wash is a great way to create tone and atmosphere in a drawing and this technique will also be explored through drawing a still life.

Materials required:
Drawing materials
Black acrylic ink (water resistant)
Nib pen

Wollondilly Arts Group Inc. (WAG) is a not-for-profit community organization based in the Wollondilly Shire, Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia. Our group has been operating since 2004 in which time we have been supporting artists and lobbying for a dedicated community space, a home for our group, to provide a permanent meeting place, workshop and gallery space.
