The set up of a floral spray in a dark-box with a directional spot light from above, will give us a chance to paint or draw the subject with a DARK BACKGROUND. Julie will be painting the subject in Oils but any medium at all will highlight the subject with its high and low lights. Sandy has set the theme for the May creative get together as Trains and Rail, to generate interest in producing work for our new outlet at the Thirlmere Trainworks Quintessentials. An enjoyable afternoon of Drawing. Jody will be be setting up a still life and perhaps some botanical items for us to draw. Bring plenty of paper, big and small, with a board for support and a table easel if you have one. Drawing materials: your pencils, charcoal, pastels, pen and ink or whatever you like to use. Painting is also an option.

Splashing about using Watercolours with Janet - Saturday 8th October 2011, 1.00pm to 4.00pm Discovering different ways with watercolour techniques. Bring Watercolour paper and paints, tubes are preferred, A 2inch/38mm hake brush (or flat bristle brush) is needed for washes plus a mop brush and smaller brushes.
